To provide a helpful and friendly presence for all visitors and members, fostering a comfortable and worshipful environment.
Core Values: Hospitality, service, attentiveness, and respect
- What We Do:
- Greet attendees with a warm smile and welcome them to the church.
- Assist with seating, especially newcomers who may be unfamiliar with the church layout.
- Answer questions about the service, church programs, or building facilities.
- Collect tithes and offerings.
- Maintain a respectful atmosphere during the service.
- Be prepared to handle any emergencies that may arise and assist with evacuation procedures if necessary.
- Set up and clean up the worship space before and after services.
- Why We Matter: Ushers are the first and sometimes last people visitors interact with at church. Their kindness and helpfulness can leave a lasting impression and play a significant role in someone's decision to return.
- How You Can Get Involved: If you have a welcoming spirit, enjoy serving others, and want to contribute to a positive church atmosphere, then the Usher Ministry might be a perfect fit for you! Most churches are happy to train new ushers.
Ushering is a rewarding ministry that allows you to use your gifts of hospitality and service to create a welcoming space for all.
